Elite & Authentic Dance Group, NZ.

Tonight we went to a concert held at 'Street Church' in Wellington, NZ. It was a awesome showcase of young talent all promoting and uplifting God's name.

The two dance groups involved were called 'Elite' and 'Authentic' made up with a mixture of young teens with all the same passion for dance.

This is what they were fundraising for:

On the 15th of April Elite Dance Crew in Collaboration with Authentic Dance Crew will be going to Melbourne Australia to minister through dance, share our story and give GOD STREET CRED BOOOOYYYY! invited by Planet Shakers church aswell as NO LIMITS CREW!!

God is good, It is good to see young people all aim and work towards the same goal, the passion these kids have for dance is overwhelming and they are extremely supported by there families as well as there Church congregation so it is very pleasing to see this sort of support for teens in NZ.

This concert was based on dance, drama and music and was outlining all the problems and situations that teens face today. Suicide, Break-ups, Relationships, Family and life.

The way these kids performed with confidence and passion, it brought such meaning to the message itself. - You are not alone.

So I highly recommend if you are in Melbourne within the times these groups are there, don't hesitate to go and be inspired - God is good!

My Little Dancing Queen.

MyPrincess loves to dance.
'Love on Top'
BEYONCE.

We encourage her to dance, sing,
and get to know all sorts of music.

It is very uplifting when we see her enjoying all
different genres. At the moment this song
is her newest obsession.

LOL at her singing:
Thought it was quite cute her getting
her trills on. Ha!

Aoga Amata - Pre-School.

My big girl starts school today.

Last night I cried myself to sleep thinking how fast my baby grew in these last few years. I thought since I am expecting my 2nd one in a few months time, I knew it was that time to take my baby to Aoga Amata or Pre - School so she can interact with kids her age. She was at that stage where she was always wanting to go places and this just felt like the right time to let her be.

My husband tried to comfort me last night but I was so upset, not tears of sadness, but tears knowing that I raised my baby now its time for her to go out into the world. lol. These are some of the hardest things being a parent knowing that your baby will eventually grow up and be more dependant on themselves.

I know she's just going to Aoga Amata - but it is a big step because I was use to having her home with her nana and papa & seeing her at home on my days off. This is a new chapter in her life and I hope she blossoms and learns her Samoan language as well as being more confident in different surroundings, because she is quite shy and defensive when she meets new people.

In the weekend we tried to encourage her to use the bathroom, even brought a DVD from the library to see if it will push her to go toilet, but she lost interest when the lady was talking for ages, Ha! Hopefully she picks it up all on her own when she's at Aoga Amata.

 - New Bag.
 - New Bottle.

Check.

 - Lunch.

I try not to overload her lunch with things because from working in Childcare, some kids usually don't take notice of everything, but I can't help but pack heaps just incase. I know she probably won't eat it all, but it is her first day and I want her to have a variety.

- All set for Pre-School.

She was excited after I explained to her that she will be going to school, meet new friends, paint, puzzles, build new things.. her face lit up when I told her all the benefits of going to Aoga Amata.

It's a good thing also because her Aoga Amata is in our church so I knew most of the teachers and was confident in taking her to a place I was familiar with.

I know telling her how it was going to be was different from actually being there, it would be a whole new change for her.

Off to school she goes.

Yes I was right - the minute I dropped her off she was shocked, there were different kids making heaps of noise and the environment was different from what she was use to.

She was settling in ok when I was with her playing play-dough, but started to cry when I left, which is common, but me being a cry-baby cried with her. Ha!

Teachers said she was good the whole day - still getting familiar with people and the environment but she will get better eventually.

First day done and dusted - let this new routine begin :)

Easter Sunday

Laid back Sunday - we literally stayed indoors all day, unless it was to go out and get food. Ha! Other then that it was a Sunday like no other, we stayed in bed, under the covers enjoying some more Chocolate treats and movies - heaven on earth.

My Daughter got some more Easter Eggs today from one of my best friends - Faavaoa Faletolu.
Every Public Holiday she always seems to amaze us with her unexpected gifts. Just one of those Aunty's that surprise you when you least expect it. Love you Aunty Vee.

Aunty Vee surprised me with a vase of Easter goodies to :)
Lucky me - we have been friends since birth I guess, so very thankful for all that this girl does. At my parents wedding her dad was my dad's best man, so guess our dad's brought us together, good thing - we've been close ever since.

This is what we had for lunch: Mmmm. Days like this when I can't be bothered cooking we head out to one of our favourite takeaways in Miramar - Joe's Cook, never lets us down. #laughs.

-Yummy Chicken Curry with Roti Bread.

Being Easter Weekend, I guess it was only fitting to watch a Easter movie - 'HOP' so this was one of the movies that we watched today.

We also got to see Aunty Kailah today, she was here from Melbourne for the weekend. It was good to see her, as you can see by Isis smile. We missed you so much girl, hope Melbourne is everything you expected it to be and more, not the same not having you at home, especially in the weekend. Ha! Safe travels back home. Hope to see you again soon.

Sunday weather was AMAZING!
Sun was out and everything, but it was
just one of those moods where being at home
was the right place to be.

Hope everyone has had a enjoyable weekend with
all your loved ones, keep them close.

With love,

Good Friday 2012.

Easter has come again, this will be my baby girls 2nd Easter, this time she is more aware of all that surrounds her so it's pretty neat giving her Easter eggs, although most kids love to indulge in Easter eggs, Isis on the other hand would rather look at the decorations/wrapping around the easter egg then be interested in the chocolate inside. Must be her daddy genes because he's not really into Easter eggs himself. Ha! But she has had quite a few this year... so they are probably going to sit there till someone comes over and takes them away, have had chocolate overload this weekend - but who can get enough of chocolate huh? Mmmm.

Good Friday - We decided to go out and enjoy Wellington with some views of the beaches, Fish and Chips, Ice-cream and that good ol' sun. Was quite enjoyable, although I was getting tired easily because of the weather, I tried my best to stay up and enjoy this day off work and chill with my 2 fijians.

Ice-cream from Lyall Bay.
Fish and Chips - NZ best.
On Broadway.. hehe.

Easter is more time with family, away from the stresses of work and everyday life. Although we do explain to Isis that Easter is not all about Easter eggs and treats it is also a time to reflect on Jesus and all he has done for us. Hopefully we can install in her everyday how good our God is: God is love!

Be Thankful.

Happy Easter all.

With Love,
