Isis and her Pre-School celebrated 50 years of Samoan Independence with
all the other Samoan Pre-school's within Wellington. It was a amazing to
see all the children involved. I am proud to be Samoan.

24 Weeks.

So I'm 24 weeks - Tummy is growing fine.
Clothes don't fit anymore. Ha!
2nd time round is much easier then the first I guess?
Feels faster in a way - but still don't like that waiting game. lol.

Having random headaches, Over do it sometimes - work wise,
only because it is a full on job working with kids, especially if it's
different kids everyday. #CantComplain. Taking days off when I know
I'm not feeling up to it - Husbands orders.

14 more weeks to go. Isis is getting use to the fact there is a
baby in my tummy, me and her have even come up with a name,
but will see how I feel closer to the day, I always end up changing my mind.

At 24 weeks: I am a little bit more clumsy, forgetting things easily. Feeling
baby moving a bit more. Still waking up twice to go bathroom in the middle
of the night. Swollen feet (can't fit some of my shoes) Craving Chocolate:
especially 'Roasted Almond Chocolate' Argh! Trying to keep up with my H2O
and feeling tired around the afternoon is getting more common now.

Very excited: Still have a long way to go, but I'm excited to
have a sister and sibling for my little Princess and she is to :)

VIARD vs ST MARY'S - Year 9.

Tonight me and Isis went to watch my little cousin Laumua play
Basketball, since her sudden fascination with the sport we decided to
support her at every game she has had. So far Viard haven't won one, but
we do remain faithful that one day that day will come.

Laumua played well tonight, Although there is so much more improvement
needed I guess 'Good things come with practice and MORE practice. Ha!
Keep it up Aunty Muaskiis.

Laumua Luafalealo.

Support Crew - Mase, Nizz, Lilo & Icy.

..and shoot.

Isis entertaining herself.

Come on Mua - Defensive girl.

Final Score: 31 to St Mary's / 20 to Viard.

Watching different sports make me miss playing
sports all together, Boo! That is just one of the things I miss
while I'm pregnant :( 4 more months then I get to see my princess No.2.

Until then, keep going Mua and cut down on the Maccas. Lol.

Love your No.1 Supporters: Family First.

So about 7 years ago in my college days we had a group called

college and formed this friendship with heaps of funny and memorable moments.

Did you know?

  • Isis is my very cheeky first born.
  • She is half Fijian and half Samoan.
  • Born via Caesarean Section.
  • Calls Red Capsicums - Apples.
  • Loves to name all the Animals in her 'Animal Card Set.'
  • Very intelligent in memorizing all Cartoon Network Series.
  • Best friend with her Papa Avz.
  • Always skeems her Uncle Kenape to get her way.
  • Knows how to count in Samoan and English.
  • Very Spoilt - a bit to much.
  • Loves singing randomly but not in front of a audience.
  • Dances all time while mommy does karaoke on the PS3.
  • Says: 'I love you so much mommy' when I hug her.
  • Always finds ways to not clean up her mess sometimes.
  • Loves carrots and Ritz crackers.
  • Puzzle Fanatic - great problem solver.
  • Loves wearing gumboots in all types of weathers.
  • Hates potty training.
  • Will always wait till I count to 5 before doing what I've asked.
  • Loves singing Samoan National Anthem - random times is hilarious.
  • Has names for her Fijian Grandparents and Samoan Grandparents.
  • She's excited to be a 'BIG' sister soon.

These are just some of the random things that I go through daily with my cheeky Isis. Although at times she can be quite rowdy and clingy because she doesn't like me hugging other children. Ha! Most of the time she's just very polite and knows what makes her happy and sad. Her and her dad put together are a good balance, when one is annoying me the other will calm me down - vice versa. Lol. I love my two crazy fijians very much and it still overwhelms me on how much one child can change my life for good. I love you little monkey.

Blue Obsession.

My hubby has this blue obsession since I can remember, If it ain't blue - it ain't cool.
He is in no way affiliated with any gangs or stereotypes associated with
the colour blue, he just loves the colour, so I guess it's easier for
me to find gifts for him - anything blue rules.

#LoyalToTheColourBlue.

TOP 10: Toddler Essentials for the week.

To survive the week I must have all these things handy:

Shoes:
I always have at least 2 different pairs of shoes handy,
during the school periods - especially with our little girl
because she always manages to lose one pair
somewhere within the house. So I always have to check
before I go to sleep that there is at least one pair visible.

Art Supplies:
Isis, loves to draw and paint. So this is very useful
during the week to have as a distraction when
I want to make dinner or watch one of my shows during
the night.

Puzzles:
I find with Isis, she really loves to fix and challenge herself
with doing puzzles, she enjoys putting them together
and loves the praise she gets when she completes them.

Socks:
Having socks is important, especially during the
winter, I like her to go to pre-school warm, so
I always make sure we have at least 5 pairs to last the week.

Nappy Bags:
These are essential to have for those No.2 moments,
very useful when traveling away from home, I always buy the 200pk
which lasts more then 2+ months. Very Useful.

Fruits/Veges:
Our girl is a fruit addict, she loves a variety of fruits mostly oranges
and banana's. We have a apple and pear tree so that is very
handy to have when fruits are dear sometimes. Carrots are one
of the favourite veges we have to have as a lunchbox snack
she LOVES carrots.

Nappies:
Although we are trying to get her to Potty train, I always have to
have 2 packs of Nappy Pants during the week.

Wipes:
We don't really need 4 wipes for the week, but when there
is a bargain I love to buy more. Sometimes I go crazy and buy 9
packs - but it does become useful for the month so no
complaints here.

Full Cupboard:
Now that Isis is at Pre-School we have to always stack the
cupboard for the week for her lunch and random snacks for
when her Aunty Mua comes because she eats everything
in the house when she comes in the weekend. Ha!
There are basic things I buy: Biscuits, Raisins etc..
but I always like to buy random things to see if Isis likes them.

Medical Supplies:
Paracetamol and Thermometer should always be
visible everyday for those unexpected fevers and illnesses.
I always make sure that they are not expired and placed
somewhere Isis won't reach them.

Just some of those responsibilities and changes that
come with being a mother, always learning and getting use to
a daily routine especially with a growing toddler.
These are just some of the things that help me survive the week.
As most mothers already know it becomes 2nd nature when it
comes to baby essentials so for those new mothers this is just
some of the things I found useful with my 2+ year old.

With Love,

xx

After Pre-School.

After Pre-School me and Isis went to enjoy what was left of the Welly Sunshine. #GirlsTime. She
is so talkative these days, explaining to me everything we saw and she questioned why things were
the way they were -'Mommy, how come there are so many trees?' 'Mommy, why is there a
triangle shape at the top?'(Mount Victoria Look-out) Just hearing her communicate is that way is   very encouraging, especially as a mother. She has learnt a lot in her Samoan Language as she attends a
Samoan Pre-School, so her being fluent in both English and Samoan is another achievement in itself.

Very proud of her development both verbally and physically. Her favourite song at the moment is
' One Thing ' - One Direction' Thanks to her Aunty Laumua she sings this every morning
and every night - very entertaining indeed.

These are yet just some of the joys of being a mother.

Another Week gone for 2012.

3rd Year Wedding Anniversary:

We delayed our Anniversary dinner this year - Parental Duties first, but we have tried to make it a tradition to always find somewhere fancy to dine and then maybe catch a flick or two after.

Our Anniversary is: May 2nd 2009.

First year: Thai Canium in Miramar, Wgtn.
Second Year: James Cook, Whitby Restaurant, CBD.
Third Year: James Cook, Whitby Restaurant, CBD.

Tonight was amazing, hubby planned dinner for 2 at Whitby's.
Buffet Menu with Orange Juice of course.

Followed by a movie of my choice: 'The Five-Year engagement'
which I found highly entertaining and I'm sure hubby did to. Ha!

Nice walk through town reminiscing on the good old
crazy days and how much I don't miss that Night life at all. #Nana.

It was a beautiful night, Hubby is a true gentlemen. Not to sound to cliche
or artificial, but I couldn't possibly picture my life any other way.
Sometimes the most unplanned things in life work out for the better.

3 Years  - Married: To me that is a accomplishment in itself, I have
grown to love and nurture my life as a mother and wife, there was
no perfect time for me to do both so I'm glad I get to experience this now
with a good man and a wonderful family.

I know everything in life has it's own plan, I never in my wildest dreams
thought I would be married and settled at this age, but I am
and it's almost unreal that it seems so right, especially since me and
Jonate are both two very different people, different styles, different backgrounds
and I guess that's what makes this unique, we been through the pits together
now we facing the highs, Life is funny like that.

We still a ordinary couple with daily problems but why concentrate on that,
there will always be more problems to face married or not married and I'm
thankful that through everything we remind ourselves why it is we made it this far.

'When you succeed - people talk'
'When you fail - people talk'

'You choose your happiness'

This is why I love to blog:
I love to write and I love the freedom to
express things you wouldn't normally talk about with people face to face.
Mainly continued this blog so my children may read this when they are
older and realize how mommy and daddy lived.

Thankful for Life and Family,
especially for LOVE.

Happy 3 years Mr Lealea:
Your still crazier then me. Lol.

'Esther - Calais Litia Qalia Tiqatabua'

Being married to another Pacific culture other then my own
is very interesting indeed. I have learnt so much about Fiji in this
time being married to a fijian, there are different traditions for everything,
Wedding, Births, Birthdays, Death etc..

It is quite interesting, When I gave birth to Isis - She was my first born,
so there is a ceremony at home where the family all
go to the baby's house and offer gifts to the Newborn, they wrap baby in Tapa
and a long material - and pass her around the family.

Words are exchanged from one family to the next and
a hand clap is exchanged in respect of what they have to say.

They bless baby and wish many more blessings towards baby's life.

In this case we welcomed 'Esther - Calais Litia Qalia Tiqatabua'
Daughter of Seru and Carmel Tiqatabua.

Seru is related to my husband's father, and seeing as how this is Seru's First- Born, this ceremony was done to welcome baby Esther into the family.

She is a mix of Maori and Fijian and is absolutely beautiful.
Such a blessing to her parents and family.

After the ceremony there is a feed provided from the Newborns
Family, I don't know whether this is compulsory, but I have
seen it done in many Pacific Cultures - after a Celebrations
as this, food after the Ceremony is usually taken place.

We had a variety of Fijian Curries, fish, Vegetables, Chow mein and rice
as well as some yummy dessert to follow. It was delicious.
I love Fijian food- especially if it's spicy: Mmmm.

Some of the Fijian Children:
Top Left: Esther (Another Esther in the family)
Top Right: Isis and baby Esther-Calais.
Bottom Left: Aunty Francis from Fiji.
Bottom Right: Our little fijian Prince Joshua.

This Ceremony was Unique and very different from other
Pacific Cultures, especially my own - Samoan.
It is always lovely to learn and educate myself on
my daughters Fijian side so she will hopefully be Bilingual
in both Cultures in the future.

Welcome to the world Princess Esther-Calais.
